Is it worth grading?
Compare slab prices with raw value. Find the premium that survives costs and the grades you might actually receive.
Find completed sales using the source links, check the exact set, language and finish, then record the actual accepted price in USD. Asking prices are excluded. Your entries are user-supplied evidence, not independently verified.

What is left after the costs?
Starting costs and grade probabilities are editable examples, not current grader quotes or predictions. Inspect centering, corners, edges and surface before setting your odds. Premium 10 labels and 9.5 are shown above but excluded from this 10 / 9 / 8 scenario.
Lower / no grade probability: 5.0%. The three entered probabilities must total at most 100%. The remaining probability uses your fallback resale value; submission costs still apply.
A shortlist candidate requires at least 3 sales per priced outcome within 90 days, the latest within 30 days, and a raw quote within 7 days. Positive expected profit and an advantage over selling raw are both required. These are screening rules, not a guarantee.
How the calculation works
Expected sale = Σ(grade price × your grade probability), including the lower/no-grade outcome. Grading proceeds = expected sale × (1 − selling fee) − sale postage − grading − submission/return − insurance/other costs. Profit subtracts raw acquisition value. Uplift instead subtracts what selling raw would net after its selling fee and postage. ROI divides profit by raw acquisition value plus submission costs. No appreciation, tax or turnaround-time return is assumed.
